Programme Introduction
The Institute has received funding from the Digital Policy Office to launch a two‑year free Information and Communications Technology (ICT) training programme for seniors aged 60 or above who possess basic digital knowledge. The programme offers a total of 15 courses across two levels, aiming to enhance digital skills among older adults, support their integration into a smart society, and promote digital inclusion.
The curriculum covers core competencies such as artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, cloud computing, big data, basic programming, data privacy, and cybersecurity. It also includes practical applications such as blockchain and digital payments, the Internet of Things and smart home technologies, digital health, multimedia editing, AR/VR, 3D printing, robotics, autonomous driving, and drone technologies. These topics demonstrate how technology can support independent living, improve health awareness, and help seniors develop personal interests.
