Evaluation (Quantitative)

Depending on the content and delivery modalities, various kinds of questionnaires were administered to the participants to gauge the effectiveness of the training sessions. More specifically, participants responded to Likert-type items and indicated the perceived extent to which they had benefited from the training in accordance with the knowledge-attitude-behavior framework, as well as rated their level of satisfaction with the sessions. Given the mostly non-technical nature of the training, improvements in the knowledge and behavior domains are, as expected, relatively mild. Nonetheless, participants had significantly increased their awareness and perceived importance towards end-of-life care, which was in itself a fruitful and important outcome.

The following tables depict some of the evaluation results obtained from the second and third phases of the project.

Note. Participants rated the extent to which they agreed with each of the above items (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree). Results are aggregated, whenever applicable, across all training sessions. N = sample size; M = mean; SD = standard deviation; EoL = end-of-life.
