Public Education – Advance Care Planning Workshops

Public Education > Advance Care Planning Workshops
One of the special emphases of the public education programme is the family workshops on Advance Care Planning. Starting from September 2019, these sessions have been conducted approximately once per month, on a small group basis, for patients and their family members recruited from certain public hospitals, with the aims of allowing them to understand the various treatment options, and thereby enabling and facilitating the communication process. In each session, basic concepts in end-of-life care and Advance Care Planning are first introduced, after which participants are encouraged to express their thoughts and preferences in this regard, as well as to document them.
